PCB Announces Pakistan’s 15-Member Squad for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced a 15-member squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, where Pakistan will compete in Group A of the tournament.

Pakistan will begin their T20 World Cup campaign against the Netherlands on 7 February in Colombo, marking their opening fixture of the mega event.

The squad was unveiled during a press conference held at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, addressed by PCB Director High Performance and national selection committee member Aqib Javed, T20I captain Salman Ali Agha, and white-ball head coach Michael James Hesson.

Several players, including captain Salman Ali Agha, Faheem Ashraf, Khawaja Mohammad Nafay, Mohammad Salman Mirza, Sahibzada Farhan, and Usman Tariq, have earned their maiden call-ups for a global ICC event.

Meanwhile, experienced players such as Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Nawaz, Abrar Ahmed, Saim Ayub, and Usman Khan bring valuable World Cup experience, having featured in previous editions since 2021.

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 will feature 20 teams, with each side playing four group-stage matches before progressing to the Super Eight and knockout rounds, scheduled between 7 February and 8 March.

As part of their preparations, Pakistan will also play a three-match T20I series against Australia at Gaddafi Stadium on 29, 31 January, and 1 February, with the national training camp commencing today.
